Latico Leathers Introduces a Suede Collection for Fall 2026

Latico Leathers, the family-run leather goods brand making full-grain bags since 1984, has introduced a suede collection for fall 2026. Seven styles pair suede panels with the full-grain leather the brand is known for.

The collection is a material pairing rather than a material switch. Suede brings a soft, napped surface. Full-grain leather carries the edges, the straps and the structural work, so the bags keep their shape in daily use. The two materials do different jobs on the same bag.

Three design treatments run across the seven styles. A lotus flower pattern worked in suede and leather appears on Darby, Stevie, Lindsey and Petite Lindsey. A sweeping diagonal stripe defines Tanya and James. Eloise, the wallet in the group, uses a suede and leather patchwork across its front full-flap.

Interior organization carries over from the full-grain line without change. The Lindsey tote and Petite Lindsey shoulder bag hold a water bottle holder, key leash, lipstick and credit card holders and a zip pocket. Darby adds a hidden phone pocket, side zip pockets and an exterior rear zip pocket. Eloise holds eight card slots and a zippered coin pocket in a 0.35 lb wallet.

“Suede and full-grain leather behave differently, so the design work went into how the two meet on each bag,” said Ben Schreiber, Chief Marketing Officer of Latico Leathers. “We set the suede into panels and let the leather take the edges, the straps and the structure. That is what holds the shape.”

Six of the seven styles are suede executions of silhouettes already in the range, including Lindsey, which takes its shape from a bag inspired by a New York West Village icon. Tanya, an oversized tote, is the only new silhouette in the group. All seven launch in a single brown colorway. Prices run from $85 for Eloise to $360 for Lindsey.

“The full-grain line is still the foundation,” Schreiber said. “Suede gives people a different texture to reach for, and pairing the two is how we brought it into the range without changing what the bags are.”

Every style in the collection is handcrafted in small batches by artisans in South America and India, using leather from LWG-certified tanneries.
